On Letting

A Spotlight Meta-Series

If God is providential, that is, if he is caring and shows it by offering goodness to you (and everyone else,) then God is doing a lot. This leads to a question: Why aren't all the providential things God is trying to do coming to fruition? One part of the answer to that question is this: We don't let them.

Illume's "On Letting" series-of-series is about noticing what God is trying to do and making space for his good will to be done.

About the "On Letting" Meta-Series

This metaseries exists to release people from the pressure of trying to control or carry everything. It helps people notice, trust, and align with the good that God is already doing, rather than always striving to do more themselves. It invites a posture of permission, not performance.

These series (listed below) are not about doing more or even doing better. Instead, they're about allowing. They come from (and lead to) a place of surrender, receptivity, and trust (rather than productivity or control.) The language, imagery, and tone are softer, slower, and more reflective than most self-help or motivational teaching.

Using the "on Letting" meta series

You’re welcome to explore the On Letting series in whatever way makes sense for you, be that on your own, with a partner, or with a whole group. Everything is available, anytime, and always free. But know this: these were built for community, and they work best when experienced with others.

Each Spotlight Series in this metaseries is designed to guide real conversation, cultivate honesty, and spark new levels of trust between people and with God. They're not content to just inform; they're structured to transform. Transformation doesn’t happen best in isolation. It happens in relationships where vulnerability is safe and shared. That’s why we encourage you to gather a few others, pick a series, and see what happens when you let God lead - not just you, but all of you together. You don’t have to run a church or have all the answers. You just need some curiosity, some trust, and each other (and a Spotlight doesn't hurt!)

On Letting There Be Light

A series on the misconception that light = truth. On Letting Division Cease

For everyone recognizing the polarization in society around them who dreams of a way to work together with all people, On Letting Division Cease provides a practical, godly approach to peace-without-uniformity that reflects God's triune nature and the love that brings peace to all mankind.

For those who feel uncertain about their worthiness of love, On Letting Love In offers a path toward seeing and embracing the love that’s already within reach. This series is designed to help you identify and open up to the genuine love that surrounds you, moving beyond the barriers that keep you feeling unlovable.

If your goal is "more," you'll never reach it. For everyone who seeks the secret of being content, On Letting Enough be Enough will help you identify the sweet spot between what you can't do without and what you don't really need - and there, find not only joy, but also God.
