Step into the Spotlight.
Illume is an atypical church in that we do not have "services" on Sunday mornings. Instead, we help create and facilitate small groups that can meet anytime, anywhere. We do this using something we call the Spotlight.
What is a Spotlight?
A Spotlight is about a 90-minute experience designed to help you get spiritual rest, find genuine wisdom, and engage in purposeful action. It weaves together music, discussion, Scripture, reflection, and community service - focused on a single theme each week.
What is a Spotlight Community?
Spotlight Communities are small groups that gather regularly to do Spotlights together. Spotlight Communities don't all think or look the same, and that's the point. Community is built on trust, vulnerability, and mutual support - it's a place where grace makes room for growth and healthy interdependence.
Relevant Themes
Interactive, engaging, and meaningful opportunities exist when people gather together with an underlying desire to build a sense of true community. Illuminated under God's unconditional love, we can feel safe and transparent to love and be loved - to value and be valued. Spotlight is designed to do just that in a unique and powerful way.
So, Illume never has "normal" services?
We celebrated Christmas and Easter together, and we also invite all of our Spotlight Communities to gather together on the first Sunday of each month at 5 p.m. It's a great time to launch a new series, enjoy a meal from a delicious food truck, sing with a larger group, and be reminded you're part of something bigger.
